Our cycling support

Are you struggling to progress on your cycling journey? We reach out to funders so more people can access our services. If you’re experiencing financial hardship, the cost-of-living crisis, or other barriers to cycling, this page is for you.

Who can apply?

Read the eligibility criteria below to check if you qualify.

Wheels to Work

The Wheels to Work scheme offers the following discounts:

  1. £150 off a refurbished bike.
  2. £80 off a bike service.
  3. Free Beginners Bike Maintenance course.

To claim your discount you must be:

  • A Bristol resident
  • Aged 16 or over
  • Seeking work, or
  • Starting a new job, training course, work placement or apprenticeship.

Free Dr Bike

Travelwest is offering a free Dr Bike Service at our Bristol Hub.

Open to anyone living, working or studying in Bristol.

Our mechanics will offer appropriate repairs, such as:

  • Replacing inner tubes
  • Adjusting/replacing brake cables and/or brake blocks
  • Adjusting gear cables/indexing
  • Adjusting handlebars or saddle
  • Lubricating working parts
  • Inflating tyres
