About the role
We’re looking for a Youth Worker/Bike Mechanic with a passion for cycling to help deliver a weekly programme of practical, imaginative, and inspiring cycle-themed activities for children and young people at community locations in Bristol.
Work is offered on a sessional basis for ‘afterschool’ sessions during term time, and ‘daytime’ sessions during the school holidays.
You’ll work for our Youth Project, empowering young people to broaden their horizons with bikes. This encourages them to get active, build confidence, and diverts them from anti-social behaviour.
We currently deliver this work in partnership with three Adventure Playgrounds in deprived Bristol neighbourhoods: Easton, Lockleaze and Southmead. Sessions are open access and free to attend.
If you’re passionate about working with young people, enjoy building positive relationships, and have cycle maintenance skills - with the ability to teach children how to fix their bikes - we’d love to hear from you!
